My Current Series are paintings worked in acrylic and/or oil. I am exploring figures in my life, as a mother, how that day made me feel. As well as doing self portraits. I want the viewer to be able to use some of their senses, to make them feel something, when they observe these paintings. I am doing this by experimenting with several mediums. Currently I’m experimenting with mixed media by adding my hobbies like knitting and sewing. I am teaching myself how to sew right now and thought it would be a great way to manipulate the canvas. This gave textures, a sense of space, and expression.
