PAAG—–Mary Kosar, Artist, Photography- Biography
You know how the old saying goes “Stop & smell the roses”? Well, I like to “stop and take a photo” of all nature’s wonder, and capture the details to frame it and bring nature inside my house.
My favorite type of photography is done in black & white.
Sometimes the scenery or nature may not have a lot of color in it, so I choose to take the picture in black & white, which brings out the textures, contrasts, lighting, designs, and creates a dramatic mood. Then the “design of nature” becomes the star.
Other areas that I like to photograph are architectural, such as old trains and old barns. There is so much interesting texture in old barn wood doors, rusty wheels, and dilapidated and broken windows. These aren’t your typical “pretty picture” but that’s why I like them.
