I am a glass engraver and have been working with sandblasting as a medium for over 20 years. The glass on which I work is primarily found, rescued, and flea market finds. Many of these pieces are chipped, scratched, unwanted, but full of potential for me, finding that I can give this glass a new life. With respect, I will not work on historically important glass or art glass that has significance. When I design, I work to create imagery that will marry with the glass form thereby transforming and giving the piece a new identity, a new life. Glass is my “canvas”, ever learning, ever evolving, ever searching.
